The pairing was intentional on Arvin’s part. He wanted to sing with Xiomara as part of his Operation: Kiss The Girl plan to get Xiomara to fall in love with him. Derek also gave him $5 to sing with Jezana, cuz Derek definitely had a crush on his new roomie. Jezana actually had a crush on Sherman, but it seems no one has really picked up on that yet.
