The Sandy Run Theater is a registered Historical Landmark in Newcrest being the first movie theater that opened its doors over 100 years ago. Today movies are still showing in theater rooms 1 and 2 but in order to compete with neighboring hot spots it now features an arcade and bowling alley. Typically a teen hangout, Thursdays after 8PM is 18+ where the adults can enjoy the arcade games of their youth and or a classic movie!

One thing I’ve missing being in the pandemic is going to the movies. My kids and I love going to the movies, getting popcorn and candy and seeing the film on the big screen! The movie theater we like to go to has a small arcade just outside the theater rooms so I decided to replicate that here.

I built this specifically for the 40×20 long lot in Newcrest, I never know what to do with it, so I placed a bowling alley and bar towards the back and the arcade and movie theater are upstairs!
