Sherman found it super difficult to tell people about his family. Coming from such a well known family meant that sometimes people weren’t trying to be his friend to be his friend, they were looking to connect with the better established members of Sherman’s family. He’d know Arvin for sometime now and Sherman just didn’t get the vibe that Arvin was using him, or would use him. He could trust Arvin with this.
